Inspired by Michelangelo Antonioni’s idea of “digging through the arid materials of our times,” Yujia’s work explores the quiet interplay between space and human presence, capturing fleeting moments within the wider movement of history. Her design language is rooted in a sensitive observation of life and emotion, creating spaces that hold human stories with subtlety and depth.
Yujia Huang is a Production Designer for film and moving image, and an alumna of the National Film and Television School. Her notable works include Peak Male Excellence, now showing on BBC Three, Mother Goose, winner of Best Short Film at Edinburgh International Film Festival, This Is Ours, winner of Best Short Film at Reykjavík International Film Festival, and Summer Blur, winner of Best Feature Film in the Berlinale Generation Kplus section.
